Shoddy

Post sgtp3pp3r »

Amongst this Wonderfulness, of what is the A2A Comanche, Do we really need What appears to be two pieces of sticky tape with the words "OFF" written in marker pen, On the fuel Selectors, when we choose to fly without Tip Tanks?
Didn't inspire confidence in my passengers.
...Can we get some proper labels made please maintenance?

I pulled out my Dymo and made two of these:

… passengers love it and feel it looks very official.

Congratulations!
Did you have to blow the dust and cobwebs off it first?
...And red tape? ..Did you run out of black.

Well, when you DO fly with tip tanks, you have a piece of tape over the maneuvering speed, so you're stuck with tape in either case. It would be nice if it looked a little better, but it's not exactly a factory-fresh aircraft.

I don't mind these stickers, as they kinda give the Comanche a private owner touch. The plane didn't come from the factory without tip-tanks and I imagine they normally don't. I imagine Scott probably never takes his tip-tanks off.

In any case, if you don't like the hand-drawn sticker labels, change them in the TEXTURE folder.

Fuel Selector OFF stickers:
PA24_COCKPIT_VC1_ALBD.PNG.DDS

Max Maneuvering Speed sticker:
PA24_COCKPIT_DECALS_ALBD.PNG.DDS

You can use the free program Paint.Net to open, edit & save DDS files. Then you might need to regenerate the top-level layout.json using this

Dust and cobwebs on my Dymo? Never.
Red because it visually tells me to not set the fuel lever in that position.
