Tablet does not work

Tried all the solutions I could fins here but none worked. Makes the plane largely unusable

Hello Don,

Please can you give us some more information to help troubleshoot this issue.

What aspect of the tablet isn't working and what do you see on the screen? Also, please can you confirm if you have v1.1 of the Comanche installed?

I bought it yesterday, so I assume it was an up to date version. The tablet is there, pops out of the pocket on request but is DOA. Grey screen with a blank white line and all tabs greyed out

Please can you let us know if you have any third-party GPS products installed? A few users have reported conflicts when using the PMS GTN 750 WTT mode.

Okay, thanks. Have you also tried temporarily removing any other add-ons in your community folder?

Okay, thanks for checking, the next thing I'd suggest is to try running the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64).

If that's unsuccessful, please try the same with the .NET Framework. Here's the web installer for that.

Is Simconnect maybe the problem??

A Simconnect connection error would tend to trigger an error message on the tablet, and it doesn't sound like yours is getting this far.

Previously, in nearly every similar case to the one you've described, a conflict with another add-on in the community folder has been the cause, hence the earlier suggestion to temporarily remove them.

Could you just gives us a bit more info on your MSFS setup to help with troubleshooting.

For example are using the MS Store or Steam edition? What's the full path to the Comanche folder? And do you have any third party utilities like the MSFS Addons Linker installed?

Nick I should mention that I could not do a normal install of the DLC due to a MS restriction of 'long file names' or something to that effect, so the only way I could actually get the full install loaded was to install to the root of a separate drive, which showed no errors, and then xcopy the full Commanche folder to the Community folder.

MSFS is loaded onto a drive other than my C: drive due to lack of space

I have no other addons or 3rd party utilities installed

Thanks for this info Dom. It's starting to sound like this may be a similar situation to the case here, where the user had installed MSFS itself to a protected folder.

Please can you confirm if you have this folder present on your system:

C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

There should be a file, "UserCfg.opt". If so, please open the file with a text editor such as Notepad, and copy the last line which begins with "InstalledPackagesPath" and then paste it into your reply here.
